Cecilia Fierro-Feinstein #10
Born in Brooklyn, I was sliding for balls on the playground asphalt at two. When I was seven, my family moved to sunny Santa Monica where I play soccer 365 days a year.
I play striker/winger and attacking midfielder for the Sand & Surf SC Girls 2009 GA Aspire team, soon to merge with City SC.
My love for soccer centers around the creative opportunities in a uniquely dynamic game. I've always been a pass-first player, and my field vision allows me to be a few steps ahead in decisive tactical advantages and to create opportunities for teammates. I am quick, precise and in control of the ball. I am an intelligent pass distributor and can thread my way through packed defenses. . My coaches often call me “little Messi” (because of my height lol) but also because I am the team’s playmaker. My fast and accurate field vision allows me to be a few steps ahead in decisive competitive advantages.
I am thrilled to be part of the Sand & Surf SC DPL/GA 2009 team that was undefeated at the DPL Regionals in 2024, invited to the DPL Nationals (The Summit) in 2025, earned second place at the 2024 Club America Cup, first place at the 2023 Orange County Tournament of Champions, first place in the SoCal 2023-2024 league, and was ranked 9th in Southern California and 38th regionally.
As a sophomore, I am a starter on the Santa Monica High School Girls Varsity team, a community I am proud to be part of. In the 2025 season, we placed second in our league.
In 2023 I was recruited by Coach Mele French, former USWNT player, for the Los Angeles Bulls flight 1 2009 team and was given jersey #10. Our team earned the 2023 spring league champion title.
Like many young players, I started at our local Santa Monica AYSO and, at eight, was immediately recruited by AYSO Extra coaches to join the most elite team in the region. I scored the winning goal in the final minutes of the 2019 Championship finals and my team was ready to travel to Bull Head City for the AYSO Regional Championships when the pandemic ground everything to a halt. Luckily, I was able to practice throughout the shutdown as a member of the Los Angeles AYSO United SC Girls 2009 team. In 2022, we were California State Cup finalists.
My dream is to play soccer at the collegiate level at a school with a strong art program where I plan to major in Visual Arts with a concentration in Illustration. Just as the creativity I find on the turf inspires me, so does my commitment to my artistic craft. I find myself creating art in some form daily, whether it be a doodle in the margins of my school work or a large and detailed art piece.
I live in Los Angeles with my two dogs, my parents, my older brother and my 89-year-old grandfather, an Italian immigrant and survivor of WWII. He wishes me good luck with "Forte!" before every game.
